A Day in my Life as a Farmer!

By Arvind and Gokul - Pragati towards Livelihood

I am as farmer. My farmer has a more trees and kitchen garden also. I have a lots of fruits like apple trees, banana trees, coconut trees, mango trees, guava trees and lemon trees. I had got all the plants from the plant nursery. I water the plants daily and put organic manure. The manure I got from my kitchen only. It is tea leaves. Eggshells and vegetable peels. When it is sunny more water is need than during rainy season. Once some of my plants got fungus. I sprayed neem oil, and fungus disappeared. I take good care of my plants. Now I get lots of mangoes, guava, bananas, coconut and lemon from my garden.

Making compost, pouring water and taking care of plant. Removing weeds, Putting Fertilizers, digging the soil , putting the seed to grow. I enjoy as a farmer when it grows,

Challenges of being farmer is,

when insect attack the plant. We should put natural pesticides and when the plant drys. When there is water scarcity. When the rain fails, when the crops are destroyed by floods. when the crop fails. as a farmers it is very difficult to produce the crops like vegetables, fruits and cereals. As a farmers I seek help from the local panchayat official
